My older brother called this morning, and we are headed back to Springfield, Missouri. It appears that Dad is going into congestive heart failure. He got out of the hospital, and was released to a nursing home for rehab, but then this happened. I don't know the details, but his fairly strong heart was all he had going for him. My Dad is a spiritually and morally strong person, and has always been a rock for me to lean on. I am confused on how to pray, I want him to stay, but... I don't know how he can the way things are looking. I simply place it all in God's loving hands, and rest in the outcome. My poor Mom is so confused and frightened. She is almost 80 and has never lived alone in her entire life. The prospect is pretty scary for her, I can already see it in her conversations.
God, grant my father and family peace in this time.
I too am praying for you and your family.

This morning I ended my sermon with the famous words: all shall be well; and all shall be well; and all manner of things shall be well.
I pray that now for you and your family.
