My favorite line here: "I love the image of the timber that makes the cross we bear growing from the soil of our own hearts. How often do I cause my own issues?"

I've been doing a lot of reading and re-reading in church conflict studies lately, as evidenced in one of my recent posts. While I've been focusing on the clergy killers and pathological antagonists, I think many times the suffering we endure grows from our own hearts.
